Family Day Care Queensland (FDCQ) is seeking a Quality and Referral Officer to join our In Home Care Support Agency (IHCSA). This role is offered as a work-from-home position, with the option to work from our Brisbane office if preferred. Whether you’re based in Brisbane, Victoria, or elsewhere, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the integrity of eligibility decisions, upholding compliance with legislation and program guidelines, and supporting the IHCSA team to deliver services responsibly and effectively.

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and values-driven Quality and Referral Officer to join our team. In this important role, you will ensure the IHCSA operates with integrity, fairness, and accountability by overseeing eligibility processes, strengthening compliance, and providing internal support to the team.

As part of your responsibilities, you will:

• Act as Specified Personnel (delegate of the Department of Education Secretary) to assess and determine family eligibility for In Home Care (IHC).
• Champion compliance by upholding program guidelines, Family Assistance Law, and FDCQ’s contractual obligations.
• Provide advice, feedback, and training that empowers and supports Family Liaison Officers.
• Respond to complex queries, issues, and complaints in a professional, respectful, and supportive way.
• Keep accurate, high-quality records and reports to strengthen accountability and transparency.
• Build and nurture strong, collaborative relationships with service providers, and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, compliance audits, and quality assurance activities.
• Model and foster a child-safe and safe-work culture in everything you do.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a passionate, values-driven professional with qualifications (or equivalent experience) in Early Childhood Education and Care, Community Services, or a related field, who has experience supporting vulnerable, high-needs families.

You’ll bring strong communication and problem-solving skills, emotional maturity and empathy, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, alongside excellent organisational skills and confidence using Microsoft Office and data systems.

• Current Suitability for Child-Related Employment card (or eligibility to obtain).
• Criminal history check.
• Legal right to work in Australia
• Willingness to obtain/complete:

• National Personal Insolvency Index (Bankruptcy Register) search clearance.
• Current and Historical Personal Name Extract (ASIC).
• Conflict of Interest Declaration.
• Statutory Declaration.
• NQAITS Register search clearance.
• ACECQA Prohibited Persons check.
• Specified Personnel Form.

• Ability to travel and stay overnight occasionally.
