About the role:

Nineinsix Builders are the Principal Builder behind a high-profile custom build project in Melbourne’s south-east area. The Founders come from a hands-on high quality carpentry background with over 40 years in the industry.

At Nineinsix we pride ourselves in being builders and as a result work with Carpenters across all aspects of completed projects and contribute to tasks beyond the standard carpentry role.

What you'll be doing:

You’ll be leading and imparting your experience in all aspects of carpentry and construction, including:

· Instructing and directing a team of qualified & apprentice carpenters, subcontractors and other labourers whilst getting on the tools yourself.

· Leading the team to follow construction drawings and plans to meet the needs of the build.

· Setting out and site establishment as per plans and site requirements.

· Performing and directing all aspects of carpentry and building.

· Inspecting, recording and replacing defective aspects of the build.

· Ensuring the team is working in a safe manner and compliant with OH&S rules.

· Executing quality and safety systems through electronic processes.

· Duties as required to lead and support the overall build process.

· Leading a high-profile project with overtime and Saturday hours expected.

What we're looking for:

· Proven experience leading carpentry teams in high end residential carpentry.

· Willingness to ensure you and your teams are always following safety guidelines.

· Demonstrated ability to comprehend technical documents and drawings.

· Strong understanding of English, good communication skills and a demonstrated ability with numbers.

· A driven and energetic work ethic who works well autonomously and as a leader of teams.

· The ability to lead and resource a team to keep project goals on track

· A desire to learn yourself and teach those around you.
