As Senior Accounts Payable Officer, you’ll take ownership of the full AP function, ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on time, while guiding and mentoring junior team members. You’ll work closely with the Managing Director, head office staff, and project teams across multiple construction sites.

Here’s how you’ll grow:

• Take ownership of the full accounts payable function, from invoice processing to supplier payments and reconciliations
• Guide and mentor the AP Officer, developing your leadership and people management skills
• Build strong relationships with project managers, vendors, and senior stakeholders
• Manage monthly AP reports and contribute to financial reporting that drives business decision-making
• Gain exposure to industry-leading systems, including Jobpac, while developing a deeper understanding of finance in property and construction

What you’ll do

• Oversee end-to-end accounts payable, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
• Lead creditor management, liaising with project teams and suppliers
• Manage AP reporting, payment runs, and supplier reconciliations
• Work closely with the Managing Director and finance leadership on key reporting requirements
• Support the finance team with month-end close, WIP reporting, and ad hoc financial activities

What you’ll need

• 5+ years’ experience in accounts payable or a finance environment
• Strong knowledge of construction or real estate industry accounting is essential (Jobpac experience preferred).
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently across senior leadership, head office, and site teams
• A collaborative approach and the confidence to work in a dynamic environment
