The Carnarvon Rangelands Biosecurity Association (CRBA) Inc. is seeking applications from motivated and experienced candidates who can provide executive support to and manage our operations across the Gascoyne and wider region. The CRBA is a not-for-profit Incorporated Association delivering community based declared pest management control programs across the region as a Recognised Biosecurity Group.
As our Executive Officer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations including financial management, contract management, communications, and administrative support. Working with key stakeholders across our vast landscape to deliver key operational programs is also a large part of the role.
This is a variable part-time contract role, averaging 15-25 hours per week, with preference given to candidates with an understanding of the region, it’s key stakeholders and the agriculture industry. Working hours within the role will vary dependant on operational requirements of the group, with more time required during key times of the year.
Priority will be given to candidates who have:
- a minimum of two years’ experience in a project management role.
- a keen interest in successful and sustainable outcomes for CRBA stakeholders.
- demonstrated experience in implementation of strategic and operational plans, including budget development, monitoring, and management.
- the ability to balance multiple activities, including prioritising to maintain group operations.
- experience in community engagement in a rural/remote setting.
- provide high quality administrative and executive assistance in various areas for the consistent and timely management of the group’s operations.
- a good understanding of governance in a not-for-profit environment.
- show ability to interpret, understand, and comply with all relevant legislations and codes of practice.
- a willingness to travel to meeting locations, in the within the CRBA region at least twice a year and occasionally Perth.
- basic understanding of website maintenance or willingness to learn.
- basic understanding of electronic databases or willingness to learn.
- experience with finance management software and Microsoft based programs.
