The South Australian West Coast ACCHO Network (SAWCAN) is looking for an experienced Graphic Design & Communications Officer to join our team. This is a work-from-home position (0.6 FTE, 22.5 hrs/week) with flexibility to travel across our region when needed.

About the role

Working closely with the Communications Lead, this role strengthens SAWCAN’s visual storytelling and supports culturally safe, community-focused health initiatives across the Eyre Peninsula and Far West Coast of South Australia.

The role will include:

Designing and producing high-quality visual assets for community health campaigns, reports, publications, merchandise and social media.

Ensuring brand consistency across all communications and platforms.

Preparing artwork for professional printing and liaising directly with printers.

Contributing creative ideas and concepts that enhance community impact.

Managing multiple design tasks in a fast-paced environment with clear deadlines.

About you

We’re looking for someone with:

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and strong layout, colour, typography and visual storytelling skills.

Experience designing for both digital and print, including preparing print-ready files.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.

Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal organisations and communities, and a deep understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and ways of working.

Previous experience in a similar role and the initiative to work independently from home.
