The Role
We are seeking a highly organised Rostering & Finance Officer to join our team. This hybrid role combines rostering, payroll, finance support, and compliance reporting.
Key responsibilities:
Build and manage staff rosters in Deputy/ShiftCare.
Demonstrate working knowledge of SCHADS & Nurses Awards for accurate payroll processing.
Process payroll through Xero (STP, superannuation, reimbursements).
Manage accounts payable/receivable and invoicing.
Prepare and generate financial reports in line with legislation and internal governance.
Prepare BAS/IAS for submission, and either:
Lodge as a registered BAS Agent, or
Provide accurate reports for external BAS Agent review and lodgement.
Provide support with onboarding, leave, and HR compliance.
Support the business during the transition to ShiftCare (extra points if you already have ShiftCare experience).
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
Formally qualified – minimum Certificate IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping (or higher).
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping and payroll (mandatory).
Skilled in rostering, payroll, or finance administration.
Confident using Xero, Deputy, and ShiftCare (or similar systems) with advanced Excel skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organisation skills.
Able to manage competing priorities and problem-solve.
Clear and professional in communication with staff and clients.
Either:
Registered BAS Agent with the Tax Practitioners Board, or
Competent in preparing BAS/IAS to final stage for external BAS Agent review.
Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain one before commencing).
Eligible to work in Australia with appropriate visa or citizenship status.
What We Offer
$80,000 + super (commensurate with experience).
