We are currently partnering with a well-established and respected organisation within the construction and residential development industry, seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their high-performing finance team based in Brisbane.

The Role Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Payable Officer will be responsible for the full-function processing of supplier and subcontractor invoices, ensuring the timely and accurate management of accounts payable processes across multiple business units.

Key responsibilities will include:

• End-to-end processing of high-volume supplier and subcontractor invoices
• Matching purchase orders, verifying approvals, and coding to correct cost centres
• Reconciliation of supplier statements and resolution of discrepancies
• Preparing payment runs and managing payment schedules
• Responding to internal and external queries in a professional and timely manner
• Supporting the month-end close and reporting process
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company policies

About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• A proven track record in an Accounts Payable or Finance Officer role
• Previous exposure to the construction, property development, or project-based sectors (advantageous)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., MYOB Advanced, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar)
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach with strong organisational skills
