About the role

Responsibilities will include:
Work closely with the firm's Partners
Manage the day-to-day finance function for a diverse portfolio of medium to large-sized organisations
Manage and supervise a team of experienced bookkeepers, providing guidance and support as needed
Develop and monitor financial processes for clients with a view to improving and streamlining procedures
Manage accounts payable & accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
Reconcile accounts, including bank and credit cards.
Process payroll, with knowledge in award rates, employer obligations, superannuation, entitlements, group certificates, WorkCover, and Payroll Tax obligations.
Prepare Business / Instalment Activity Statements (BAS/IAS).
Reconcile the profit and loss and balance sheet and process end-of-month journals.
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for the Executive team's review
Required to use Xero & MYOB
Essential Skills and Experience:
Minimum 6 - 8 years prior (Bookkeeping experience) - within Public Practice
Xero and MYOB experience is essential, with experience in other cloud-based accounting and payroll platforms
Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including team, time, and budget management
Highly personable and experienced in working in a client-facing role
Ability to multitask, work efficiently, accurately, and meet deadlines
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously
Strong technical and analytical competence with the ability to recognise bookkeeping efficiencies for clients
