To support our expanding operations, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage the financial operations of our headquarters.

About the Role

The Bookkeeper will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the smooth running of the medical group’s operations. This position requires strong knowledge of Xero and the ability to handle the full spectrum of bookkeeping tasks, from daily cashflow management to month-end reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in Xero.

Prepare and present Profit & Loss statements and financial reports.

Monitor and manage daily cashflow across the organisation.

Process payroll in compliance with Australian workplace legislation.

Manage end-to-end accounts payable and receivable, including reconciliations.

Handle BAS preparation support and liaise with external accountants where required.

Assist with month-end duties, including journal entries, accruals, and reporting.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation obligations, and company policies.

Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for informed decision-making.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, ideally within the healthcare or service industry.

Strong working knowledge of Xero accounting software (essential).

Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Experience in payroll processing and compliance with Fair Work regulations.

Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines.

High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams and external partners.

Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment.
