Marine Claims Officer – National Insurer

MAYDAY is partnering with a well-respected national insurer to offer an exciting opportunity to move into the Marine Claims space.

The Marine Claims team is focused on delivering technical claims management, controlling costs, and providing exceptional service to customers.

We’re particularly interested in candidates with experience in:

• Property or freight insurance
• Major transport operations
• Loss or damage claims

What you’ll be doing

• Managing a portfolio of marine claims from start to finish
• Delivering outstanding customer service with empathy and professionalism
• Building strong relationships with customers, brokers, and service providers
• Negotiating settlements and ensuring claims are handled fairly and efficiently
• Collaborating with colleagues to deliver a seamless, market-leading claims experience

What we’re looking for?

• 3–5 years’ experience in insurance (Marine claims experience is a bonus, but General Insurance will also be considered)
• Experience in property or freight insurance, major transport operations, or handling loss/damage claims (Preferred)
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
• Customer-first mindset with the ability to balance independence and teamwork
• High attention to detail and confidence in decision-making
