Senior Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Officer

About the Role

An opportunity is available for an experienced Strategic Stakeholder Engagement Advisor to support the planning and delivery of stakeholder engagement and communications initiatives across a range of infrastructure projects based in Parramatta. The role will involve developing strategies to support both internal and external stakeholders, with a strong focus on consistency, clarity, and effective issue management.

This position requires a confident communicator who can operate in complex and sensitive environments while building trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver stakeholder engagement and communications strategies for key projects and initiatives
• Coordinate and track stakeholder engagement activities and provide detailed reporting
• Offer strategic advice to manage emerging stakeholder or communications risks and concerns
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent and timely messaging across multiple channels
• Contribute to media coordination and responses as required
• Foster and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
• Report regularly on stakeholder issues, progress, and engagement metrics

Key Requirements

• Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, corporate communications, or public affairs
• Strong writing, messaging, and strategic planning capabilities
• Ability to manage sensitive or high-profile issues with discretion
• Experience navigating complex stakeholder environments
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
