We are looking for an experienced communications and engagement professional to support a major infrastructure project in regional NSW. This high-profile, fast-paced role involves working in a complex and often sensitive environment, requiring a strategic approach and sound judgement.

Key responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic communication and stakeholder engagement plans

Prepare community updates, ministerial briefings, and engagement materials tailored to diverse audiences

Provide expert advice on sensitive community issues and manage stakeholder concerns

Plan and deliver consultation activities, public engagement sessions, and local events

Build strong relationships with community groups, internal teams, elected representatives, and key external stakeholders

You

Demonstrated experience in communications, stakeholder engagement, or media, with a strong track record in high-profile or sensitive projects

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism (preferred)

Previous experience in government or infrastructure projects highly regarded
