At Custom Clad, we specialise in designing, manufacturing, and delivering high-quality commercial facades across Victoria and Queensland. We're looking for an experienced Estimator who combines technical expertise with strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

This is a key role within our team — you’ll take the lead on pricing for major projects, liaise directly with builders, suppliers, and subcontractors, and help guide project decisions from the early tender stage through to delivery. You’ll also play an important part in mentoring junior estimators and shaping our estimating processes.

To succeed, you’ll need to be analytical, detail-driven, and confident in your ability to build relationships. As the main point of contact for pricing discussions and scope clarifications, you must be able to communicate clearly and professionally across all levels — from suppliers and site teams to senior leadership and clients.

The Role:

Lead the preparation of detailed and accurate project estimates

Analyse architectural tender drawings, specifications, schedules and requirements to determine scope of work

Prepare take-offs and mark-ups using estimating software (Bluebeam preferred or similar)

Conduct site visits when required

Maintain and update estimating databases and documentation

Collaborate with the project management team to ensure estimates align with project goals

Communicate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to clarify project requirements

Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and quotes

Establish and maintain working relationships with builders and material suppliers

Maintain up to date knowledge of different cladding material specifications, installation methodologies and access requirements

About You:

5+ years estimating experience in commercial construction (ideally cladding or external facades)

Proven ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and scopes of work

Proficient with Bluebeam or CostX and the full suite of Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Construction-related qualification (Cert IV, Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, etc.)

A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
