Our client is a specialist lightweight steel framing manufacturer supporting a wide range of industries from private residential homes to large scale infrastructure projects. The company employs in-house designers and engineers. They currently work with some of the best builders in Victoria, on some of the most exciting projects.

Role Description
This is a full-time permanent Estimator role located in Sunshine West, VIC. The Estimator will be responsible for:

• Creating estimates and quotes
• Analysing project requirements
• Communicating with clients and suppliers
• Assisting with project coordination and scheduling.
• Work closely with the Finance Director, Business Development Manager and Drafting Team
• You'll take charge of a construction estimate, using your skill to accurately measure a project, formulate a quote and track key metrics within the company.

This role is an integral part of the business. You will be involved in evaluating estimating data, tender processes and making your mark on the estimating side of the business.

About You

• 5+ years experience in an estimating role in construction. Ideally working on Structural Steel projects up to $300k in value
• Experience on E1 (Estimate One)
• Confident creating tenders and an excellent understanding of the estimating process
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to think outside of the box and consider design challenges
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant estimating software (Bluebeam preferred)
• Technical background in quantity surveying, engineering or construction is a plus
