Estimator Role

Based in Melbourne's south-eastern suburb a dynamic and experienced Commercial Fit-out Builder whose rapid growth has resulted in a demand for a Construction Estimator eager to join our and steadily growing Construction Team.

As an Estimator, you will be involved in the following:

Working in a small team environment using our own software system (Procore) in conjunction with other industry software eg Cubit and Estimate One.

Experience with Cubit or Estimate One software is required.

Identifying which trades and suppliers are required per project.

Complete all Estimating requirements and must produce accurate documentation within budget timelines.

Cost management materials and trades throughout the construction process.

Attending meetings with Clients/Project Managers and Site staff while maintaining great relationships.

Identify potential risks/ issues at tender time.

Initial tender compilation analysis.

Knowledge of building practices and project sequencing.

To be successful in this role, the following skills are needed:

Current experience in Building, Construction Management or Quantity Surveying studies, or similar. 3 years Minimum.

Experience across any construction type is acceptable for this role.

Strong communication skills both verbal and written.

Effective time management and attention to detail.

Practical industry or trade experience is essential.

Understanding of Construction Documentation plans, specifications and finishes schedules. .

Experience in tender process and trade procurement.
