An exciting opportunity has become available for enthusiastic and experienced Estimator to join our team as our work demand continues to grow! Our work is all over Melbourne, with our factory and office based in Brooklyn.

Jobs and responsibilities:

Cost Estimation:

Analyse project plans, drawings, and specifications to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates and bids for roofing projects.

Client & Supplier Communication:

Communicate with clients to understand project needs and with suppliers and subcontractors to get pricing for materials and services.

Bid Preparation:

Prepare and submit sales quotations and other relevant documents to clients.

Resource Management:

Schedule and coordinate tradesman and resources for site and factory needs.

Project Compliance:

Ensure project cost estimates and proposals comply with industry codes, safety standards, and budget constraints.

Collaboration:

Work closely with project management teams, designers, and other project stakeholders to ensure accurate project scoping and pricing.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience:

Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in estimating or a related construction role is required.

Technical Knowledge:

Proficiency in reading technical drawings and understanding project specifications.

Software Proficiency:

Experience with construction estimating software is essential. Experience using ProEst for take offs, and excel for preparing quotations advantageous.

Communication:

Strong written and verbal communication skills are needed to effectively liaise with clients, suppliers, and team members.

Analytical Skills:

Ability to analyse complex project documents and perform precise calculations.

Education:

A qualification in building and construction estimating, construction management, or a related construction field is advantageous.

Additional experience/skills in:

Building SWMS, building site folders and summary sheets, reviewing Scope of Works and and signing contracts.

Adaptable Role:

Embrace additional duties as directed by the Directors.
