At Custom Clad, we specialise in designing and delivering commercial facades across Victoria and Queensland. We’re looking for a Junior Estimator who’s eager to learn, enjoys working with people, and wants to build a long-term career in construction.

You’ll get hands-on training, work with a supportive team, and contribute to some of the state’s most exciting projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in the construction industry and gain valuable experience with a reputable company.

The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, possess strong analytical skills, and have a keen eye for detail. You’ll be the first point of contact for pricing queries from builders and suppliers, so you need to be confident communicating professionally over phone and email.

The Role:

Assist Estimating team in the preparation of accurate and timely cost estimates for cladding projects

Analyse architectural tender drawings, specifications, schedules and requirements to determine scope of work

Prepare take-offs and mark-ups using estimating software (Bluebeam preferred or similar)

Conduct site visits when required

Maintain and update estimating databases and documentation

Collaborate with the project management team to ensure estimates align with project goals

Communicate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to clarify project requirements

Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and quotes

Establish and maintain working relationships with builders and material suppliers

Maintain up to date knowledge of different cladding material specifications, installation methodologies and access requirements

About You:

Certificate IV in Building and Construction, Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a similar related field

Minimum 1 year estimating experience in commercial construction (ideally cladding or external facades)

Proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel

Comfortable using Bluebeam or CostX

Basic understanding of construction processes and materials

Ability to interpret Architectural/ Structural drawings, Engineering reports and Specifications
