The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Metal Fabricator to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a workshop and on-site position that requires an immediate start. The successful applicant will play a key role in our operations, working with our team Monday to Friday to deliver high-quality fabrication and welding services to our clients.

The annual salary for this position starts from $77,000 based on experience and qualifications.

Tasks and Responsibilities

As a metal fabricator you core responsibilities will include:

Interpreting and reading technical drawings, blueprints, and job specifications.

Measuring, cutting, bending, and shaping metal materials with precision using hand tools, power tools, and machinery like guillotines and press brakes.

Operating various welding equipment (MIG, TIG, or stick welding) to expertly assemble and join metal components.

Fabricating and assembling structural frameworks, sheet metal parts, and custom products with a high level of accuracy.

Performing finishing operations such as grinding, drilling, and polishing to ensure all products meet our high standards.

Setting up and operating fabrication machinery.

Maintaining and calibrating equipment to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

Troubleshooting and performing minor repairs on machinery as needed.

Essential Criteria

The suitable candidate will have the following criteria:

Trade qualification or commensurate work experience.

Proven experience in a fabrication workshop and on-site.

The ability to "hit the ground running" and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

A valid Australian driver's license.
