About the Role An established WA-based metals manufacturer is seeking a trade-qualified Sheet Metal Worker to join their Osborne Park workshop. The business specialises in architectural sheet metal and rainwater goods — including flashings, gutters, downpipes, rainheads, louvres, and custom fabricated products — servicing commercial, industrial, and heritage projects across Perth and wider WA.
This is a hands-on role in a busy workshop, fabricating high-quality products to specification with opportunities for long-term stability and progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble flashings and sheet metal products to drawings and job sheets
- Operate guillotines, presses, folders, and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Measure, cut, fold and finish materials to a high standard of accuracy and finish
- Read and interpret workshop drawings and production schedules
- Assist with loading, unloading and dispatch of finished products
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
- Support apprentices and less experienced staff with training and mentoring
What We’re Looking For
- Trade qualification in Sheet Metal Fabrication (Fabrication 3)
- Previous experience fabricating flashings and rainwater goods (background with Stratco, Stramit, Fielders or Metroll highly regarded)
- Ability to read and interpret drawings accurately
- Reliable and consistent attendance — ready to work every day
- Fast, accurate, and detail-focused with minimal rework
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Flexible with early starts and available for overtime when required
What’s in it for You
- $40/hr base rate ($79,000 per annum) + penalties
- Full-time, permanent role with long-term stability
- Early starts and early finishes:
- Mon–Thu: 5:45am–2:15pm
- Fri: 5:45am–12:45pm
- Option to start earlier (4:45am) or work later until 3pm for extra hours
- Overtime available at penalty rates
