Metal Fabricator/Welder– Dandenong South

Are you an ambitious skilled Metal Fabricator/Welder seeking a great new opportunity in a superb manufacturing facility? Eco Garage Doors is a respected family-owned manufacturer of superior, architecturally designed garage doors and roller doors. Using leading edge technology to create elegant doors, and state of the art Australian made roll form machine in their Dandenong facility, they offer a range of Residential Garage Doors, Commercial Garage Doors and Industrial Shutters to both home owners and builders.

With a solid pipeline of work, the firm now wishes to appoint a skilled qualified welder to join the team in WA. The role is full time and ongoing.

Location – Malaga WA

Responsibilities

Below is a list of some of the duties with which you will be involved: -

Analyze detailed technical fabrication drawings and specifications to identify necessary materials and equipment (blueprints and other relevant drawings)

Assemble and manufacture sheet metal products following established procedures.

Verify adherence to specifications before conducting measurements.

Performing various welding processes such as MIG, TIG, and ARC

Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.

Utilize hand torches and furnaces for pre-heating metal pieces if needed.

Operate welding equipment, folders, and other power tools for fabrication purposes.

Create suitable templates for various processes.

Inspect workpieces for defects and address bulges or bends with hammering techniques.

Cut reinforcement bars and mesh fabrics.

Execute advanced welding techniques using manual metal arc welding processes.

Install and assemble structural steel systems. Monitor and maintain the quality of production welding and fabrication.

Adhere to workplace Health and Safety systems and requirements.

Assist management by participating in other on-site tasks as directed.

About you

You have a passion for the metalworking industry and are up to date on the latest industrial and safety techniques. Your work history shows you demonstrate an unwavering commitment to welding of the highest quality, whilst working within a cohesive and hardworking team environment.

To succeed in this role, you:

Must possess at least equivalent to an AQF Certificate III (including a minimum of two years of on-the-job training), or AQF Certificate IV and 2 years’ experience OR 3 years or more highly relevant experience.

Have great attention to detail, high quality of work, plentiful proven experience in the Metal Fabricating and Welding.

Able to skillfully read and interpret blueprints.

Offer proven ability to priorities, set goals, and have the determination to achieve them.

Enjoy working in and around cohesive teams and follow instructions

Have unrestricted rights to work full time in Australia
