Bathers Beach House has an opportunity for an experienced, focused and passionate Junior Sous Chef to join our growing team.

Bathers Beach House is right on the sands of Bathers Beach Fremantle. We are a modern Australian multi-story venue catering to casual beachside dining through to high end weddings and special events.

YOUR ROLE:

Lead, run and oversee functions team with consistency and execution to a high level

You will assist and work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef in day-to-day operations, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.

Prepare and cook a wide variety of dishes ranging anywhere from à la carte, functions and special event menus

Mentoring and training of junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment

Participate in menu development, contributing ideas to keep our food exiting, current and fresh.

Maintain a strict adherence to health, safety and hygiene regulations.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Chef De Partie or above in a high-quality restaurant or hotel environment.

Formal culinary qualifications: i.e. Certificate III in Commercial Cookery

Outstanding culinary skills with a strong understanding of food preparation techniques, flavour profiles and plating

Excellent time management, problem-solving and multi-tasking abilities

Passionate about using fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients

Strong communication and teamwork skills with a positive attitude
