StateCover’s purpose is to keep people safe, well and working. We are a specialised insurer, founded 23 years ago. We provide local government entities across NSW with worker’s compensation insurance solutions as well as offering safety and wellbeing services and are trusted as their workforce risk and wellbeing experts for their 40,000 workers.

The opportunity

In this hands-on role you will initiate, manage and drive end-to-end change management activities, ensuring impacted stakeholders are informed, engaged and equipped to transition successfully to new technologies, processes, and ways of working. Working in our project management office team and alongside high performing colleagues, this role is an integral part of building change capability within StateCover by coaching our people through transition and transformation.

This position will suit someone looking to truly embed themselves in a business where they want to and will have a genuine opportunity to make a long lasting impact. The successful candidate through implementing well executed change programs and actions will demonstrate the benefits that a sound change management approach can bring to projects, people and an organisation.

This is a full time, ongoing permanent position and not a contracting role. Remuneration of up to $160,000 plus superannuation is available, although this is dependent upon experience. Please note that we do not pay day rates nor variable incentives (bonuses).

Your story

You are a passionate change management professional with qualifications in a related field. You can demonstrate solid experience gained over several years with stable tenure in similar roles and which reflects your continued career progression and growth. Experience in the financial or insurance sector will be highly regarded, as will involvement in digital transformation projects. You are proactive, resourceful and adaptable, bringing a people-first mindset to everything you do.

It goes without saying that you possess exceptional communication skills with the ability to simplify complex issues and tailor messaging for clarity and impact. You present with confidence, naturally adapt your style to suit the audience, and are skilled in influencing and securing stakeholder buy-in through the development of strong, trust-based relationships. You are also generous in sharing your expertise, supporting others to uplift change capability and build organisational resilience.
