The Role
We’re seeking an experienced Facility Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and long-term asset performance across a North Shore commercial asset. This role offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team, supported by MBC’s frameworks, systems, and client-first culture.
Key Responsibilities
Within the scope of the PMA, develop and administer client approved OPEX and CAPEX budgets, incorporating the identification of cost-efficiency measures, capital works (including plant and equipment upgrades), and tenancy fit-outs.
Implement the prescribed MBC procurement framework in relation to the property, ensuring all recurring expenditure is formalised under contract. Standardised procedures and governance tools are applied to maintain transparency and probity.
Ensure all planned preventative maintenance programs are comprehensively documented, with consistent processes and reporting mechanisms adopted to support accountability and transparency.
Manage the day-to-day engagement with service providers, including oversight of contractual obligations and the completion of regular performance reviews.
Maintain accurate and current building records, including information manuals, plans, and operational guides.
Oversee all aspects of risk management to ensure that both MBC and its clients are appropriately safeguarded. Formal procedures and monitoring frameworks are applied to ensure effective mitigation.
Establish and monitor the building’s environmental performance benchmarks, implement initiatives to achieve continual improvement, and ensure performance levels are sustained at optimum standards.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including additional property management mandates, consultancy or project management engagements, and opportunities to integrate other MBC service lines.
Undertakes daily and scheduled inspections to ensure the property’s presentation and operational performance are maintained to the highest standards, while proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks to safety, compliance, and asset longevity.
About You
Minimum 3 years’ experience in facility management or a related field.
Strong understanding of OPEX/CAPEX budgeting, compliance frameworks, and preventative maintenance.
Proven ability to manage contractors, drive performance, and implement governance frameworks.
Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
