About the Role
We urgently require Support Workers to provide community access support for a male participant with schizophrenia, who can at times be verbally aggressive towards staff.
Support is required 6 days a week, with 4-hour shifts each day. We are looking for staff who are flexible, reliable, and experienced in supporting participants with mental health conditions.
This role requires staff who can demonstrate strong professional boundaries at all times. The participant has a history of misinterpreting oversharing from staff, so conversations must remain strictly work-related. Staff are also not to use their personal money to purchase anything for the participant unless explicitly instructed by the company.

Client: Male, schizophrenia (verbal aggression)
Shift Requirements: 4 hours per day, 6 days a week
Start: Immediate start available
Key Responsibilities:
Providing safe, reliable community access support
Supporting the client to engage in meaningful social and community activities
Maintaining strict professional boundaries in all interactions
Ensuring safety, dignity, and independence during all outings
Following company policy regarding participant expenses and boundaries
What We’re Looking For:
Reliable, flexible, and professional Support Workers
Strong experience with mental health clients and behaviours of concern
Confidence in managing verbal aggression with de-escalation techniques
Ability to set and maintain clear professional boundaries
Calm, compassionate, and respectful approach to care
Flexibility to work across a 6-day ongoing roster
Essential Requirements:
Proven experience with mental health participants and behaviours of concern
Valid NDIS Worker Screening (Yellow Card) and Blue Card
First Aid & CPR Certificate
Ability to provide support in community settings
