AEG was established in Perth, Western Australia in 1996 and was primarily engaged in supporting the commercial construction and maintenance sectors with a focus on supplying an access service tailored to the market’s needs.
We are currently seeking an experienced, focused, and enthusiastic self-starter, with exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills. This will see you assisting WHS & HR in the administration of various WHS & HR services and functions. Your current skills and knowledge will be an asset in this role as you interact with a diverse group of employees to help solve related questions WHS & HR and resolve issues whilst complying with company and legal policies and procedures.
Responsibilities – WH&S
· Acknowledge general health & safety enquiries, consulting with other staff as necessary for information gathering.
· Annually revise all company HSE related Policies and Procedures.
· Revise all Policies and Procedures should legislation or Australian Standards change.
· Generate and deliver Pre-Start and Toolbox Meetings.
· Record all health & safety queries or concerns, track and monitor progress against Actions.
· Support AEG site teams with coordination of Health & Safety Audits, distributing reports as appropriate.
· Input and import data and create Reports as required.
· To actively promote equality and diversity, recognize and actively challenge stereotyping, prejudice and discrimination ensuring that these principles permeate all working practices.
· Make regular use of training, development, and self-assessment processes to improve the quality of work.
· Manage all incidents, near misses and HSE related issues.
· Assist QMS Manager in all matters related to ISO 9001 compliance.
Responsibilities – Human Resources
Recruitment, Onboarding and Offboarding:
· Support the with recruitment, including vetting candidates, assisting with interviews, checking references, and issuing employment contracts, etc.
· Coordination of new hire orientations and inductions ensuring that employees are inducted and understand AEG focus on always maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.
· Coordinate the Exit Interview process, ensuring confidentiality, issues identified and trend analysis reports.
HR Generalist/Administration:
· Supporting all HR related requests.
· Compiling and maintaining paper and electronic employee records, including holiday, and personal leave.
· Provide support to payroll and follow up on documentation of employee compensation and benefits.
· Maintaining accurate employee database at all times.
· Assist QMS Manager in all matters related to ISO 9001
Learning and Development:
· Maintain a continual focus on HR best practices to improve workplace efficiency...
Performance Management:
· Support in Labour Coordination in developing a high-performance Leadership Teams with the delivery of a Performance Management process, training and support that includes performance development plans (PDPs) and employee development programs.
· Establishes an in-house employee training matrix that addresses company training needs including training needs assessment, new employee onboarding or orientation, management development, production cross-training, the measurement of training impact, and training transfers.
Profile
To be successful in the position you will possess the following:
· Tertiary qualification or equivalent job-related experience.
· Prior WHS/HR and/or job-related experience, within a blue-collar environment, is essential.
· Exceptional communications skills, time management and attention to detail.
· Strong Microsoft Office skills.
· Ability to develop a cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside of the department.
· The ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.
· Ability to work autonomously with support from a hands-on Management Team.
