Sharp and Carter have partnered with a prominent Mining company for a immediately available Payroll Officer to join their growing team.
About the Role:

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, and supporting a team of 3, your duties will include;

• End to end payroll for 300+ employees
• Weekly payruns and processing of timesheets
• Completing payroll tax and superannuation payments
• Processing new starters, payroll adjustments and terminations
• Managing Centrelink Paid Parental Leave payments and Workers Compensation payments.
• Handle relevant employee queries in a timely manner.
• Additional tasks or projects to assist the broader team

About you:

• Minimum 3-5 years experience in Payroll, ideally within a mid to large-scale organisation
• Ideally you will be a personable and values driven individual, who enjoys fostering a supportive team environment.
• Proficient with payroll systems.
• Experience and understanding with interpreting multiple industry awards
• Strong Excel and numeracy skills is very important
• Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills
