The Craigie Tavern is a family owned and operated local Tavern, located in the Northern suburb of Craigie, WA. The Tavern features a Bistro, Lounge Bar, Sports Bar with TAB facilities and a Bottle Shop. We are seeking an enthusiastic Head Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis.

This is an ideal position for a suitably experienced and confident Head Chef, who will bring a positive attitude, is team orientated and demonstrates strong leadership skills, to oversee the entire kitchen operation.

About you:

Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Head Chef role (Sous chef with suitable experience may be considered).

Professional work ethic with effective communication and time management skills, ensuing efficient service.

Reliability and the ability to work under pressure.

The role:

Organise and monitor the kitchen and inventory, ordering and liaise with suppliers and our front of house team.

Lead and mentor the kitchen team, including management of rosters and wage costs.

Assist with and oversee food preparation, food presentation, storage and food wastages.

Maintain high standards of hygiene, quality and food safety practices.

Maintain kitchen equipment, work areas and general supplies to assist with established health and safety standards and regulations.

Create and develop new and exciting menus.
