Are you ready for a change ? We are currently seeking a Head Chef to join our team at Varanus Island
FIFO on 2/2 roster, 11 hour work days
Permanent position
Who are we looking for?
An innovative and motivated Head Chef with a focus on food safety and excellent customer service. To be successful, you’ll need:
Certificate III or IV Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification)
BOSIET - Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate within 5yrs of validity
First Aid and CPR Certificate
Previous experience in mass-catering environments is essential (volume cooking)
Previous FIFO Sous Chef or Head Chef experience is highly desired but not essential
Excellent knowledge of HACCP
Prior Sous or Head Chef experience is essential
Australian Citizenship or full working rights in Australia
You will be required to obtain a National Police Check, should you not have one dated within the last 6 months
About the role;
The successful candidate will be expected to:
Provide leadership, coordinate, and support staff in maintaining a high-quality catering services for our FIFO client sites
You will achieve success by consulting with stakeholders on a regular basis while driving a high level of performance within your Team
Lead the catering function with safety at the forefront by adhering to HACCP and operational safety procedures, creating a strong safety culture within your team is fundamental to your success
