Annie North Inc. (furthermore referred to as Annie North) works within a feminist framework to provide crisis and transitional support and refuge accommodation to women and children who are escaping domestic and family violence and we are seeking to fill the following position based in Bendigo.
Administration and Property Assistant.
The role:
This position undertakes property maintenance duties including maintaining Annie North accommodations, sites and resources. There will be unit set up work involved and organising maintenance for the units. Equally as important will be administrative responsibilities including the management of records, reports, repairs and donation registers. The successful applicant will have properties maintenance and administration experience and present a warm and professional demeanour.
- 4 days (28 hours) per week (negotiable) predominantly from the office based in Bendigo to support the onsite property, clients, and staff, face to face.
- Permanent ongoing position following successful completion of the 6 months probationary period.
- Successful applicants will be professional, reliable, understand the role, have the appropriate skills for the position, and be a good fit for Annie North.
- Applicants must have a commitment to addressing family violence and to working within a feminist framework.
- SCHADS Award (SACS employee) Level 4.1 $44.58 per hour plus superannuation and leave loading. Plus salary packaging.
To be successful in this role you must possess:
Demonstrated experience in an Administration and Property Maintenance or similar role.
Experience within the not-for-profit/community sector advantageous.
Strong computer literacy including proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
A warm and professional demeanour, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
You must be able to work independently under general direction but also as part of a team.
A commitment to enhancing the status of women and children in society and to be able to work and liaise respectfully and effectively with women and children in crisis from all ages, cultures and social backgrounds in a positive and empowering manner.
A tertiary qualification such as a certificate in business or equivalent would be advantageous.
An understanding of the nature of domestic and family violence and its impact on women and children or a willingness to learn.
