About the Role
The City of Wanneroo is seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to join our Waste Services team.

This role is pivotal in overseeing a high-performing customer service team responsible for managing waste-related enquiries, service requests, and administrative support.

Reporting to the Coordinator Waste Management, you’ll foster a positive team culture, coach and develop staff, and ensure seamless service delivery to our community and internal stakeholders. You’ll lead improvements in processes, workflows, and systems that help the City deliver efficient, high-quality waste services that meet community needs.

Your day-to-day will involve:

• Leading, supporting, and developing the Waste Services Customer Service team
• Managing customer enquiries and service requests with professionalism and empathy
• Driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality
• Building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and legislative requirements

About You
You’re a confident and approachable leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.

You’re passionate about excellent customer service, adept at problem solving, and capable of guiding a team through change while keeping them engaged and motivated.

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

• Experience leading a customer service or administration team
• Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• The ability to manage competing priorities within tight deadlines
• Experience improving processes and workflows for better outcomes
• Intermediate computing skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly
• A commitment to fostering a positive, team-focused work environment
• Qualification in Business, Commerce or related field (desirable)
• C class driver’s licence
