We’re excited to introduce two brand new ‘Team Leader – NDIS Community’ roles at Rise. If you're a people-leader with a background in NDIS services, ready to take your next big step, this could be your opportunity to shape something meaningful from the ground up.

This position is full-time based at our offices including Helen’s Place (Middle Swan) and Peter Anderton (Forrestfield). There may also be requirements to travel within the community and to other Rise locations within the Perth Metro. Once up-to-speed/approved (by our work health & safety team) you may enjoy work-from-home hybrid flexibility.

As a Team Leader, you’ll take the reins on:

Leading, mentoring and supporting a team of support workers

Managing recruitment, onboarding, supervision, and skill development for your team

Supporting and guiding performance, including underperformance with the help of HR and management

Conducting buddy shifts and spot checks, making sure team members stay compliant with policies and best practice

Celebrating achievements and recognising milestones

Working closely with senior coordinators to resolve concerns and improve service delivery

Building strong, positive relationships with clients and their families

Reporting on outcomes, championing continuous improvement, and making sure we stay aligned with NDIS legislation and best practice

👉🏼 The need-to-have…

Here at Rise, we nurture potential, but we do need you to have a few tricks up your sleeve including the following:

Qualified and ready to lead – You hold a Certificate III in Disability, Mental Health or Community Services (or bring equivalent hands-on experience).

Experienced with NDIS services – You know how NDIS-funded services operate in community or residential settings and feel confident navigating the framework.

A proven people leader – You’ve successfully managed teams before (big or small) providing support, guidance and clear performance expectations.

Passionate about person-centred care – You champion independence, choice, and dignity, especially in complex support situations.

Confident working independently – You're self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working with remote leadership.

Strong communicator and relationship builder – You connect easily with a diverse range of people, from clients and families to staff and partners.

Tech-savvy and admin smart – You’ve got solid computer skills, attention to detail, and the ability to keep your documentation sharp and compliant.

✅ Formalities (The serious stuff!)

Appointments to this position require a NDIS worker screening check. Costs for new checks will be covered and/or reimbursed by Rise.

Your understanding of the NDIS service delivery model – and how it informs your approach to delivering high-quality, person-centred support.

Your experience managing small teams of support workers – including how you’ve supported performance, development, and accountability.

A project or initiative you’ve led or contributed to – and the impact it had on your team, clients, or service delivery.
