Mondo Wholesale Butchers and Smallgoods have been producing quality food and exceptional meats to WA people for over 40 years. With two locations in Perth providing both wholesale meats, small-goods and retail cafés.

Mondo are looking for an experienced Purchasing Officer to join our team on a permanent full time basis. This position will be located in Belmont with onsite parking.

We are looking for a results-oriented Purchasing Officer where the primary objective is to manage our purchasing and supply chain process. Your excellent communication skills and time management will ensure you build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Reporting to the Managing Director and working with the Accountant you will be responsible for the following key areas.

Raise purchase orders and internal transfers, data entry/receipt goods for multiple cost centres.

Coordinate with external suppliers, sales, production and warehouse staff to ensure timely delivery and cost effective procurement.

Manage day-to-day purchasing activities across a broad product range.

Maintain accurate purchasing records, inventory data and supplier documentation.

Assist in the monthly stock-take process.

Monitor order status and delivery schedules, resolving any delays or issues.

Confident with numbers, reporting and stock movement analysis.

Prepare reports and support forecasting to improve purchasing decisions.

Recommend and assist in process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.

About You:

The ideal candidate must possess a solid understanding of purchasing and inventory/stock control. Ideally you will have the following experience:

At least 3-5 years’ experience in similar role.

Strong skills working with purchasing and inventory ERP systems.

Minimum intermediate level Microsoft Excel.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Great analytical, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Be reliable and punctual.

Experience in food, perishable goods purchasing highly regarded.
