Senior Draftsperson - Land Surveying Drafting

Applicants based in Geelong , Melbourne or Ballarat should apply.

Manage a small drafting team to enable plans to be drafted, checked and delivered on time.

Completion of quality assurance documentation is a necessity.

Applicants should be highly experienced using Autocad, Bricscad or similar.

Additional experience using Trimble Business centre, Trimble Real Works and Autodesk Revit is advantageous.

Plans of Feature and Level Surveys

Plan of Tile Reestablishment surveys

Plans of Subdivision & Consolidation

Abstract of Field Records

Construction plans of set out and Floor Plans

You may also be required to prepare and outsource drafting work and undertake the necessary checks to maintain quality standards. Swanson Surveying works under a Quality Management System ISO 9001:2015.

This role focuses on land survey drafting of cadastral plans, quality assurance and project management within the small drafting team of 2-4 staff. Other projects and plans must be completed as required.

Your direct report is the drafting, Team Leader.

Key responsibilities include liaising with our project scheduler, completing and delegating drafting jobs, overseeing team resources using our project management software Simpro, and utilising Microsoft Teams for internal communications. Ensure timely project deliverables.

Undertake last minute plan amendments and revision updates as required by our Subdivision manager.

Collaborating with Directors, Project Coordinators, Team Leaders and Land Surveyors.

Additionally, the role involves developing and standardising systems and processes for drafting, to improve efficiency. Providing support to the Spatial Services Team Leader as required.
