As the leading hand you will collaborate closely with management whilst actively working with the team onsite to ensure jobs are completed in a timely, professional manner and to a high standard.

Leading by example, you will need to be competent across all aspects of the job, including the use of machinery and equipment.

Your capacity to adapt, modify plans in response to site conditions, and effectively manage unforeseen changes in the work environment will be valuable assets.

As Leading hand, you will;

§ Plan, lead, and oversee construction activities

§ Organise, delegate and monitor outcomes

§ Ensure tasks are completed on schedule & to standards

§ Develop actionable tasks from customer instructions to ensure successful job completion

§ Communicate between site and management to relay instructions to the team and provide progress updates from the site

§ Provide on-the-job training and support to less experienced workers, passing on skills, ensuring their development and the growth of your team

§ Monitor project resources

§ Define site safety requirements, implement, monitor and adapt

§ Identify and resolve issues that arise during construction

§ Take customer feedback and feedforward to the team respectfully to improve productivity

§ Read and interpret construction drawings

§ Work without plans across various sites

§ Implement Health & Safety protocols

§ Be resourceful, resilient, and professional

§ Have strong communication, physical skills, and adaptability
