About the Client

Involved in various Infrastructure projects throughout Southeast Queensland, our client is currently seeking a Civil Leading Hand to join their Urban Development Division for a large subdivision project in South Ripley with projects projected to go for the next 5+ years.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Civil Leading Hand you will be required to work Monday to Friday, 9-10-hour shifts, commencing at 6:30am. You will be responsible for the following;

Direct and supervise the day to day work operations and direct crews

Ensure high standards for quality and safety maintained

Coordinating construction work

Allocating general and daily responsibilities

Ensure professional standards and company objectives are maintained in relation to company reputations, service quality, OH&S and environmental standards. Requirements

What You Will Need

Drivers License and own Transport

White Card

Prior experience within the civil construction industry, ideally working across subdivision projects or similar (Urban construction)

Good understanding and experience with curb, channel, drainage and road experience (highly desirable)

The ability to read and interpret plans

Strong safety knowledge and initiative

Good leadership skills – good leader and team player

Be reliable and trustworthy with the ability to work with little supervision and be able to work as part of a team

Have excellent communication skills
