About the role

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Casual Receptionist to join our team at the Belconnen Way Hotel in Hawker ACT 2617 . In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for delivering a warm welcome to guests on arrival as well as assisting guests during their stay. We are looking for someone who is available roughly 15 hours per week for a variety of AM/PM weekend shifts as well as some week night shifts. IMMEDIATE START

What you'll be doing

Greet and register guests upon arrival, ensuring a smooth check-in/check-out process

Answer incoming calls and respond to guest inquiries in a friendly and professional manner

Process payments, handle cash and complete other administrative tasks as required

Provide recommendations on local attractions, dining options and other concierge services

Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the reception area

Assist with any other duties as required to ensure a positive guest experience

What we're looking for

Reliable, hardworking, punctual and professional

Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role, preferably in a hotel or resort setting

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service

Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure and work individually or as part of a team

Flexible and adaptable, with the availability to work early mornings, nights, weekends and public holidays

An enthusiastic and positive attitude, with a commitment to exceeding guest expectations
