The Aussie Nut Company is an expert food manufacturer of coated/seasoned nuts, seeds and dried fruit that are distributed in both the domestic and overseas markets as ingredients and snacks through various retail outlets. The company is going through a growth period and is increasing its labour force in key areas. Product quality and good service are key elements of our business

The role

We are looking for a Team Leader with a “can do” attitude, willing to assist in improving and help grow the business by engaging in all areas of our small but rapidly growing food business.

This is a permanent full-time 38-hour week role, working hours are between 7.00am and 3.30pm Monday to Friday, situated in Mordialloc Melbourne.

Award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances + superannuation, reports to the Production Manager and has huge personal growth potential

Key responsibilities

hands-on, newly created position due to rapid growth

the successful applicant is required to efficiently manage and be directly involved in all production processes

firm and fair people management through "lead by example" approach

drive costs, quality and delivery improvements

assist production operators and work on production lines if required

meet Safety, Quality and Productivity targets

execute production plans

keep production records

manage NPD and sample requirements

production and labour daily data recording

maintaining warehouse functionality at efficient levels

managing incoming material and despatches

Loading and unloading trucks

adhere to company policies and promote company values

The applicant

you will be a self-starter with strong staff management skills, communication and interpersonal skills, and solid organizational skills with attention to detail

current driver and forklift license are essential

relevant previous team leader or supervisor experience in a food production business is preferred

food process experience is desirable but not essential
