The Opportunity
We are seeking two experienced Maintenance Team Leaders to lead our skilled maintenance crew at our Tongala facility. We have two rotating shifts available consisting of a day shift and night shift. These are hands-on leadership roles, responsible for guiding daily maintenance operations across shifts to ensure reliable, safe, and efficient plant performance.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with proven trade experience who are ready to step into a leadership role or further their career in team supervision.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team across rotating shifts
· Provide technical support and hands-on maintenance where required (electrical or mechanical)
· Ensure completion of preventive and reactive maintenance tasks
· Support continuous improvement and capital works projects
· Mentor and develop team members to foster a high-performing maintenance culture
· Work collaboratively with production and other site departments to support operational goals
What You Will Bring
· A relevant trade qualification (Electrical License / Mechanical Fitting / Plumbing)
· Proven maintenance experience in food processing, manufacturing, or industrial environments
· Previous experience in leading teams or acting in a senior tradesperson role (advantageous)
· Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills – electrical or mechanical
· Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, automation, and PLCs (Allen-Bradley preferred)
· Sound understanding of safe work practices, including working at heights and in confined spaces
· Forklift license and computer literacy (MS Office)
· A proactive and solutions-driven approach to leadership and teamwork
