About the role

The Senior Workforce Support Officer supports the delivery of a suite of dedicated, trauma-informed, and specialised support functions intended to mitigate against and respond to concerns of psychosocial hazards in the workplace.

This role supports the implementation of the Department’s service model ‘Enhancing Responses to Workplace Sexual Harassment and other unsafe workplace behaviour’. The model is informed by the recommendations and findings of the Respect@Work: Sexual Harassment National Inquiry Report (2020) | Australian Human Rights Commission.

The ideal applicant will have:

Previous experience in designing and delivering training programs that positively impact workplace cultures.

Previous experience in responding to disclosures of family and domestic violence, sexual harassment, bullying, and harassment.

An understanding of the drivers of gender-based violence, including primary prevention strategies that foster a safe and respectful workplace.

A relevant tertiary qualification in public health, health promotion, psychology, or social work.
