The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) is seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Data, Digital Engagement & Communications Specialist to support the Australian International Development Transparency Portal (AusDevPortal). This role blends data stewardship, website management, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement helping deliver on Australia’s commitment to openness in our $5.097 billion international development program.

In this role, you will:

Maintain and update datasets powering our public portal.

Oversee website administration and enhancements.

Ensure accurate, IATI-compliant data management (advanced Excel).

Translate complex data into clear, engaging communications.

Liaise with stakeholders to improve transparency and user experience.

You bring:

NV2 Security Clearance.

Strong data skills (Excel, integration, accuracy).

Experience with CMS/web platforms (GovCMS, WordPress).

Strategic communications expertise across digital/traditional channels.

Excellent writing, problem-solving, and stakeholder skills.

Desirable:

IATI, XML, HTML or data visualisation (Power BI, Tableau).

Knowledge of international development or transparency initiatives.
