Your new role:
We are seeking a capable and adaptable Data and Digital Engagement Lead to support the delivery, maintenance, and enhancement of Australia’s international development transparency initiatives. This unique role sits at the intersection of data management, digital platforms, and strategic communications – perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and passionate about making complex information accessible and engaging.

In this role, you will:

• Maintain and update master data files and ensure compliance with international data standards.
• Manage website administration and liaise with external service providers to deliver enhancements and maintain smooth operations.
• Translate data and program outcomes into compelling communication products for a range of audiences.
• Contribute to broader transparency and governance initiatives, supporting cross-team collaboration.
• Provide technical guidance to internal stakeholders and coordinate improvements to user experience and functionality.

About You:
You are confident working with Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data integration) and have experience managing or supporting content management systems such as GovCMS or WordPress. You’re equally comfortable writing strategic communications, developing campaigns, and engaging with stakeholders at all levels. You can work independently, prioritise competing tasks, and apply sound judgement to problem-solving.

Essential

• NV2 Security Clearance - NV1 considered
• Strong data management skills, including advanced Excel
• Website or CMS management experience
• Strategic communications experience across digital, print, and stakeholder channels
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills

Desirable

• Understanding of international development or transparency frameworks (e.g., IATI)
• Familiarity with XML/HTML and data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau
