Hourly Pay Rate: APS6: $63.40 – $71.29 + 12% super | EL1: $78.95 – $88.31 + 12% superannuation
Security Clearance/Requirements: NV2 Security Clearance required
Working Arrangements: Onsite in Canberra

ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a highly capable and adaptable Data and Digital Engagement Lead to support the ongoing delivery, maintenance and enhancement of the Australian International Development Transparency Portal (AusDevPortal). This is a dynamic role combining data management, web publishing, communications and stakeholder engagement.

You will use your strong technical skills (Excel, CMS/web platforms, Jira), communications expertise and stakeholder coordination abilities to ensure the Portal operates smoothly, content remains current, and engagement strategies are effective.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage IATI-compliant XML file generation and validation.
  
  
• Upload and test data files, liaising with the digital service provider on enhancements.
  
  
• Conduct maintenance checks, analytics reviews, and minor web content updates.
  
  
• Maintain enhancement registers and manage portal-related risks.
  
  
• Maintain master data files in Excel, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  
  
• Integrate inputs from internal systems and support annual data review cycles.
  
  
• Develop and deliver written communications, campaigns, and digital content for a range of audiences..
  
  
• Maintain user guides, help materials, and support data storytelling initiatives.
  
  
• Coordinate with the Portal’s service provider and manage contractual deliverables.
  
  
• Provide secretariat support for governance groups.
  
  
• Liaise with stakeholders to meet user requirements and internal transparency obligations.
  
  
• Respond to internal and external queries.
  
  
  

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential:

• NV2 Security Clearance.
  
  
• Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data integration).
  
  
• Experience managing CMS/web platforms (e.g., GovCMS, WordPress).
  
  
• Demonstrated experience in strategic communications, campaign delivery, and content creation.
  
  
• Strong writing, coordination and cross-team collaboration skills.
  
  
• High attention to detail, analytical ability and proactive problem-solving.
  
  

Desirable:

• Understanding of IATI standards and/or XML, HTML.
  
  
• Familiarity with DFAT systems or similar.
  
  
• Knowledge of international development programs.
  
  
• Experience preparing guidance materials or delivering capacity building.
  
  
• Skills in data visualisation (Power BI, Tableau) or analytics.
