Background

Step into a role where you’ll bridge vision and execution as a Business & Product Delivery Analyst. Join a vibrant team of creators passionate about delivering Australia’s finest tailored business systems, while growing your strategy, product, and leadership skills.

We believe that our clients cannot be better if they are prepared to do what everyone else is doing. That’s why we don’t settle for cookie-cutter strategies, and we don't default to off-the-shelf products when we know we can make something better.

We dedicate ourselves to building bold and tailored solutions that can scale and transform organisations. Shipping working software isn’t enough for us: we strive to achieve widespread strategic and operational change in our clients, grounded by technology and with a lasting impact.

As the new Business & Product Delivery Analyst, your role is especially important here. You are a trusted adviser, a problem solver, and the vital link between what the client needs and what we deliver. You take pride in fixing problems that everyone else has learned to live with.

When a stakeholder faces a challenge but lacks clarity on the current state or possible ways forward, you step in to unpack the details with them. When a software engineer can’t see the business value of a task or spots gaps in the requirements, you connect them to the bigger picture or fill those gaps. You’re ready to do whatever’s needed to keep delivery moving — even when it falls outside your usual scope.

The value of this role

The Business & Product Delivery Analyst is a progression from a traditional BA role with greater emphasis on multidisciplinary business, technical, and product management skillsets. This person is adaptive, flexible and driven above all else, ready to contribute to the right places at the right time as a crucial supporter of delivery teams.

The role offers opportunities for product leadership, driving feature development, managing stakeholders, and contributing to strategy development/implementation. It is best suited for those comfortable living in the “grey area” of role definition, characteristic of a high-autonomy and high-responsibility role.

Knowing your business

Developing strong on-demand domain knowledge; become the key subject matter expert on how processes work and intersect.

Defining and socialising processes through writing, illustration, and interpersonal techniques.

Identifying opportunities and risks by proactively looking for gaps and inefficiencies (in business processes and workflows, software capabilities, UX components, internal team ways-of-work, etc.)

Connecting your people

Driving communications and bridging collaborators; engaging stakeholders with disparate skillsets, mindsets, and goals using adaptive communication styles.

Bringing your domain knowledge and past experiences to the table so that stakeholders can make informed decisions.

Building consensus, acting as a mediator where stakeholders have competing objectives and priorities.

Fuelling your team

Synthesising high-quality requirements from collected information, turning ambiguous needs into clear, work-ready instructions for software engineers.

Providing frequent ad-hoc support to developers, designers and QA; providing clarity to tasks and collaborating on implementation decisions.

Demonstrating materials to stakeholders to drive further refinements to UX and functionality.

Requirements

Essential

Experience working directly with a software development team in a supporting or coordinating role.

Proven experience in eliciting requirements from stakeholders and facilitating collaboration.

Excellent writing and communicating abilities, a talent for effective documentation and reports, and the ability to tailor language for people of varying technical backgrounds and goals.

The ability to produce high-quality BA artefacts (e.g. activity, use-case and sequence diagrams; UI wireframes; gap analysis; etc.) and know when to appropriately employ these.

Ability to source self-directed work by proactively monitoring and responding to the needs of the delivery team and product stakeholders.

At least 3 years of experience in a BA role or adjacent role.

Desirable

Basic code literacy, at a level where code can be examined for clues when analysing the current state of a product.

Training or experience in any of the following:

Information security

Privacy

Data analytics

Product management

UX/UI Design

Experience working in a team that uses the Laravel framework and React Native.

Diversity in your resume. We value staff who have worked in “unrelated” roles in addition to your more direct experience. This tells us you are comfortable adapting to new domains, which is important to our work.

Tools

Experience with issue tracking software (e.g. JIRA, Azure DevOps) is essential.

A basic knowledge of database fundamentals (e.g. entity relationship modelling, schema design, relationships and constraints) is essential.

A working knowledge of version control systems (e.g. Git) is desirable.

Experience with wire-framing or UI design tools (e.g. Figma) is desirable.

A few things to know up-front

This role and this organisation are truly unique, and for that reason we know it’s not for everyone. Here are a few things we would like to be transparent about before you apply:

This role comes with plenty of autonomy and responsibility — and not always a neatly defined playbook. It’s best suited to those who can confidently navigate the grey areas.

This is not an “order-taker” role. You’ll be expected to manage your own time, proactively find opportunities, challenge assumptions, and propose better ways of doing things to achieve the objective.

Our office vibe is quiet, collegial and friendly. There are occasional social outings, but we don’t have packed social calendars like some other organisations.

This role is primarily on-site in our Brisbane CBD office, with opportunities for some work-from-home flexibility once you’ve completed your 3-month probation.
