We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic medical receptionist team leader to join our growing cardiology team.

This is a part time position three to four days a week.

We are a cardiology service who provides consultation and diagnostics to patients in the eastern suburbs. We pride our service on delivering high quality patient care, whilst maintaining a positive working environment for our team members. You will join our medical administration team, practice nurses, practice manager and cardiologists. We are also supported by experienced cardiac technologists who provide cardiac diagnostic services.

About the Role:

As the Medical Reception Team Leader, you’ll be the first point of contact for our patients and play a vital leadership role in managing the daily workflow of our reception team. You'll work closely with doctors, nurses, and other administrative staff to maintain a smooth, friendly, and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support a team of medical receptionists

• Roster management and training new staff

• Ensure high-quality customer service for all patients

• Oversee appointment scheduling, billing, and data entry

• Coordinate with clinicians and nursing staff for daily operations

• Handle escalated patient or staff concerns professionally

About You:

• Previous experience as a senior medical receptionist or team leader (essential)

• Strong leadership and people-management skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Knowledge of Medicare billing and medical terminology

• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
