Part-Time Medical Receptionist – Rheumatology Practice

Location: Dandenong, Victoria

Hours: 19 hours per week – two 5-hour shifts and one full day, across 3 days or 2 x 9 hr days Flexibility required to cover annual and sick leave.

We are seeking an experienced and professional Medical Receptionist to join our busy rheumatology specialist clinic in Dandenong. This role is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and unsupervised.

Key Responsibilities:

· - Front desk reception duties including greeting patients and answering phones

· - Scheduling appointments and managing patient bookings

· - Billing (Medicare, DVA, WorkCover, private) and EFTPOS transactions

· - Scanning, filing, and other general administrative tasks

· - Providing courteous and efficient service in a fast-paced environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

· - Previous experience in a medical receptionist role (specialist experience preferred)

· - Proficiency in medical software – Zedmed knowledge highly regarded

· - Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· - Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure

· - A proactive, friendly attitude with strong attention to detail

· - Ability to work unsupervised and manage tasks independently

· - Availability to cover staff on annual and sick leave as required
