Are you a compassionate and autonomous Enrolled Nurse looking to make a difference in the lives of older Australians? Join our dedicated Home Care team at Manning Support Services (MSS), where you’ll provide predominantly administrative support to our clinical team. There will also be occasions where you'll get to wear your EN hat and provide safe and effective healthcare services to clients directly.
About the role
We are seeking applicants for a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Administration Officer role to support our growing clinical team within MSS's Home Care program. The team provides clinical support to aged care clients in their own homes, as part of a person-centred, wellness and reablement-focused approach.
This newly developed role will provide critical administrative and clinical support to ensure the delivery of safe and high-quality clinical care under the Support at Home framework and the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.
This position would be ideal for an Enrolled Nurse (EN) with a strong understanding of aged care operations, clinical documentation, and workflow coordination.
Tasks and responsibilities
Key clinical responsibilities include:
Review and cross-reference client help plans in collaboration with Registered Nurses (RNs)
Maintain and update clinical documentation (e.g. medical histories, medication profiles)
Liaise with Case Managers and Nurses to ensure continuity and accuracy in care records
Provide clinical services to clients in exceptional circumstances (e.g. staff sickness or emergency reallocation)
Key administrative responsibilities include:
Triage and allocate internal nursing referrals
Prepare and send referrals to allied health, specialists, and other health professionals as directed
Support timely clinical communications (e.g. GP correspondence, service coordination emails)
Track follow-ups, outcomes, and clinical escalations in the client management system
Contribute to end-of-month reporting and reconciliation of clinical data
Client billing and stock ordering and control
Maintain accurate records in line with legislative and regulatory requirements, including audits
Roster efficient and effective RN and EN nursing services in alignment with the clinical priorities and health needs of clients and the Nurses Award
Onboard new clinical staff (operational orientation of new staff in setting up and using relevant programs and documentation, such as instructing RNs and ENs in the use of laptops or other devices to enable them to upload wound photos, emails and access program notes)
Contributing to care coordination and service quality that aligns with the Aged Care Quality Standards
Selection criteria
Essential qualifications and experience:
Enrolled Nurse (AHPRA registered)
Demonstrated understanding of aged care operations and Support at Home
Proven ability to maintain accurate documentation and handle sensitive information
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to liaise with health professionals and care teams
Exceptional organisational and time management skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated experience in scheduling, rostering and calendar management; billing and financial administration; purchasing and stock control; and coordinating referrals and maintaining care plans
Proficiency with digital client management systems and Microsoft 365
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Full, unrestricted driver’s licence and access to a vehicle with current NSW registration and minimum third-party property damage insurance
Have (or willing to get at MSS's expense) a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
A current (or willing to get) CPR certificate
Willing to undertake a Pre-Employment Functional Assessment due to the manual handling aspect of the nursing part of role (at MSS's expense)
