The Opportunity

Responsible for overseeing and managing operational performance delivery for assigned customer to ensure Best-in-Class service delivery.

Line Manager: Operations Account Manager

Location: Mascot, NSW

Conditions: Full-time, Monday to Friday 38 hours per week

Key Role Accountabilities

Operate as the on-site escalation and performance manager for the key customer and other NSW-based clients.

​Act as the on-site implant in the customer facilities, to providing real-time support, oversight, and communication. Coordinate daily import/export/courier operations and ensure shipment visibility and accuracy.

Manage critical shipments directly, including AOG and high-priority moves.

Prepare and contribute to weekly / monthly service reviews led by the OAM, including KPI analysis and trend reporting.

Liaise globally with B&H overseas branches to ensure service continuity in other regions.

Set up and maintain daily reports and service feedback loops between operations and OAM.

Monitor account activity, ensuring operational adherence to SOPs and billing integrity.

Support complaint resolution and maintain updated SOPs, billing practices, and pricing schedules.

Identify and recommend cost-saving or margin-improving efficiencies for clients.

Assist in gathering intelligence from customers on new business opportunities and growth areas.

Work collaboratively with the national KAM team and OAM to share best practices and account insights.

​Maintain accurate and timely customer communication, both electronically and in person.

Skills and Attributes

Proven experience in Operational Supervisory / management level roles, with a deep understanding of airfreight operations and freight forwarding, including engine movements, in a commercial aviation environment.

Demonstrated success in managing strategic customer accounts or major airline partners.​

Customer focussed with excellent attention to detail.

A sound knowledge of Import, Export and Courier processes as well as familiarity with AOG and time critical freight shipments and continuous improvement methodology.

Have the ability to independently manage account responsibilities, build excellent relationships and develop partnerships across multiple stakeholders.

Be an excellent communicator with the ability to confidently and credibly engage and influence customers, partners and employees, both verbally and in writing.

Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office suite, with the ability to produce correspondence, written reports, presentations.

Proven record of being responsive and innovative.

Be able to identify, coordinate and manage change initiatives.

Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and meet defined deadlines.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise as well as focus on the detail.

Strong analytical skills to be able to assess complex data quickly and propose solutions to satisfy both the customer and B&H’s objectives.

Work pro-actively using own initiative.

Willingness to travel occasionally and attend interstate or virtual meetings as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

Understanding of regulatory frameworks within the aerospace industry is advantageous.
