Key Account Manager
Full-time | Work from home role I Live anywhere in New South Wales

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established Australian manufacturer that delivers premium infrastructure equipment and solutions to the Civil Construction, Utilities, and Water Authorities market across Australia and New Zealand.

This is a career-defining opportunity for a commercially astute Key Account Manager to take a leading role in expanding the company’s market presence across key eastern states. You will play a central role in building long-term relationships, securing product specifications, and driving strategic sales activity across a high-potential, project-based portfolio.

If you’re a proactive sales professional with a background in technical or specification-based sales and an established network within water authorities, local councils, Tier 2/3 contractors, or civil consultants, we want to hear from you.

About the Role

As the Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new project and specification opportunities, growing a robust pipeline, and converting new and repeat business across government, civil, and industrial stakeholders.

You will operate with a high level of autonomy, actively working with consulting engineers, procurement professionals, local government bodies, and private contractors to ensure the company’s range of infrastructure products is front-of-mind for key infrastructure, utilities, and civil upgrade projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities across infrastructure, utilities, water and wastewater, and civil construction sectors
  • Build long-term strategic relationships with councils, water authorities, civil contractors, and design consultants
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle from opportunity identification through to proposal, negotiation, and handover
  • Attend project site visits, perform measure-ups, and liaise with technical staff to support system design accuracy
  • Collaborate with engineers and consultants to gain specification approval on major infrastructure projects
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations, product demonstrations, and technical support where required
  • Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to grow network and brand exposure
  • Provide regular pipeline updates, forecasting, and activity reports to senior leadership
  • Contribute to long-term sales strategy and market development planning alongside the senior leadership team

About You

  • Proven success experience in a business development or account management role, ideally within building infrastructure, civil products, or construction services
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to develop trusted relationships with clients and project stakeholders
  • Experience selling into state/local government, water and/or wastewater treatment facilities, utilities, or civil infrastructure sectors highly desirable
  • Comfortable working in both strategic and hands-on sales environments
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Confident in conducting on-site visits and measure-ups, with strong attention to technical detail
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage your own travel and scheduling
  • Willingness to travel interstate regularly to meet customers, attend events, and support project work

What’s on Offer

  • Base salary from $110,000 - $130,000 plus superannuation
  • Fully maintained company vehicle or Car Allowance
  • Laptop, and essential tool or trade
  • Hybrid working structure with national travel
  • Join a well-established, Australian-owned manufacturer with a strong reputation in the infrastructure sector
  • Opportunity to take ownership of a major growth region within a supportive and forward-thinking business

This is your opportunity to be part of a team that is shaping the future of civil infrastructure through innovative, durable, and trusted solutions. Apply now to learn more about this outstanding role.
