The Technical Administration role involves assisting technical staff with their day-to-day activities. This typically means picking up those aspects of the technical role which can be completed with generalist knowledge, freeing up the technical staff’s time to work on tasks that require specialist knowledge as well as other general office administration duties as directed.
The Technical Administration role requires excellent time management skills to juggle the demands of multiple technical staff with competing priorities and deadlines.
Technical Administration staff undertake all tasks under broad supervision but generally work unsupervised so need to have a keen sense of their own limitations and know when to seek assistance. Because the work involves the preparation of legal documents, attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
Proactive, Can-Do Attitude - A highly proactive disposition with a ‘can-do’ attitude, a willingness to undertake whatever tasks are required and building the capability of the Technical Administration team where possible.
Problem Solving - An openness to identify and develop solutions to diverse technical and operational problems, with the insight to consult effectively with other colleagues prior to making any key decisions.
Self-Management - Highly organised and efficient, with the ability to assist others and the office to become better organised and more efficient.
Discretion and confidentiality - Absolute discretion as this role will provide access to commercially sensitive information.
Communication Skills - The agility to respond to multiple tasks and demands with calmness, prioritising key actions with clear communication. Well-developed interpersonal skills and pro-active communication skills with the intent to work productively with a broad range of people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences including directors, clients, and peers.
