About the role

We have an exciting & rewarding opportunity for a Memorial Sales / Family Services Consultant to join our team reporting to our Sales & General Manager, this role is an integral part of our business and is a full-time position based in our Canberra office at Mitchell.

As the first point of contact for client families, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and sales expertise on our memorials, products, and services. It is essential that you are comfortable discussing products and services with families and guiding them during a difficult time.

The role includes:

Sales of Cremation and Burial sites (Including for our Bathurst location), products and services whilst respecting client family’s needs and wishes.

Presenting and explaining product and service options to clients

Achieve sales targets and expectations.

Providing exceptional customer service by responding to general enquiries such as park location and memorial look ups

General administration duties including answering phone enquiries, responding to email queries, and daily time management, etc.

Exceptional stakeholder management with both internal and external customers including face to face contact and via the phone as well as reaching out to potential clients

Occasional travel and overnight stay in Bathurst may be required as part of this role

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

Previous experience and a demonstrated record of success in sales

Excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to display empathy and compassion.

3 plus years of sales / customer service experience is preferred but not essential as ongoing training will be provided

Good computer skills and comfortable using Microsoft suit (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

An appreciation for the sensitive nature of the cemetery and crematoria industry

Ability to remain confidential with family information

be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical check and police clearance
